Mt. Nebo
This view from Jordan looks across the Great Rift Valley (ancient civilizations teachers will know what this is) toward Jericho and Jerusalem. The valley is hazy, but this is what Moses saw as he looked out from Mt. Nebo. The sign in the second photograph indicates the general direction of cities and geographic features from the top of Mt. Nebo where I was standing across the Great Rift Valley.
